Map coordinates
Metres from the Lifepod
Our tables use X for east/west, Y for depth, and Z for north/south, centered around the Lifepod. These are the best values for comparing resources and route distance on this site.
Map coordinates tool
Open build-pinned resource coordinate lists, then convert any Subnautica 2 XYZ pair into horizontal distance, compass bearing, direct distance, and depth change. Use map coordinates from our tables or paste raw pause-menu HUD values directly.
Short answer
If you are searching for Subnautica 2 map coordinates, start with the resource list you need, then use the calculator to answer the practical route question: how far, which direction, and whether the target is deeper or shallower than you are.
Gold coordinates with depth, distance, confidence, and EA build notes.
Silver coordinates with depth, distance, confidence, and EA build notes.
Copper coordinates with depth, distance, confidence, and EA build notes.
Lead coordinates with depth, distance, confidence, and EA build notes.
Lithium coordinates with depth, distance, confidence, and EA build notes.
Sulfur coordinates with depth, distance, confidence, and EA build notes.
These are candidate coordinates, not final map truth. Subnautica 2 is still in Early Access, so each resource page keeps confidence labels and report links for changed locations.

Raw HUD values
Public HUD evidence uses larger raw values. The calculator converts those into site map metres before calculating bearing and depth. Raw HUD order is X east/west, Y north/south, Z depth; site tables normalize to X east/west, Y depth, Z north/south.
EA build
Subnautica 2 can change during Early Access. Recheck coordinate behavior after major updates, especially if a route feels reversed.
Pick a Gold, Sulfur, Lead, Lithium, Silver, or Copper target.
Check boundary notes before following a long outer route.
Use current boundary notes before measuring a route near the playable edge.
Use your current raw HUD coordinates to find nearby resource candidates.
Start from Lifepod route cards, then use this calculator for custom XYZ checks.
